I Love My Church
Written by: RevKevI love my church. I cannot begin to tell you how much I love the church I pastor. I wasn’t at my church today (Sunday, October 18th). I was out of town, and I had a great day, but I missed FCC. I was out of town to speak at a dear friend’s pastor appreciation service. Pastor Rita is a wonderful, loving person, and I enjoyed being with her and her church family. The appreciation service wasn’t until 2:30, and so I had the morning free. I took advantage of it and went to another dear friend of mine’s church. Fellowship of Christians is a great church. I feel at home there. I love Pastor Wayne and am thankful that God has allowed our paths to cross. Their worship team did an awesome job, and it was great to hear from “jungle girl” Gloria, and her ministry (Ray of Hope) with the people who live along the Amazon River. I hope one day to partner with her there. I also enjoyed an afternoon coffee with a prayer warrior by the name of Leon Fancher.
But in spite of the good day I had, I missed my church family in Franklin. I love what God is doing among us, and I missed being a part of it today. I love the fact that I missed my church. It means I know I am where God wants me. I can’t wait to get home, and I can’t wait until next Sunday.
