A Great Day

Today (Sunday, April 26th) was a great day at FCC. It was also a historic day. Today we ordained three elders–Phil, Fred, and Eric. Two years ago when we started praying and talking about restarting the church, one of the things we wanted to do differently was our form of church government. We wanted to move away from congregational governing to elder governing. This past January we reconstituted as an elder church, and today the transition was complete with the elder ordination. …[read more]

A Joyous Day!

On Monday evening, around 10pm CST, my grandfather passed away. He was 93 years old. He went quietely with his family around him singing hymns and reading scripture. It’s a joyous day! Every night before going to bed my Papaw took a table spoon mixture of vinegar and honey. He said that is why he lived so long. When I was pastoring in Russellville, AR, he came and preached for me. He was 91 at the time and it was absolutely the best sermon I had ever heard him preach. If I can get a copy of it, I will upload it on this website so you can hear it. …[read more]
