I have been in pastoral ministry now for almost 20 years (I am only 43 years old), and yesterday’s worship service and fellowship time was one of the best days I have ever experienced! Thank you FCC for all you do and for being so open to what God is doing and what God wants to do. Thank you Pastor Wayne Drain for sharing your heart and being used by God to help form our church. Yesterday, I believe, will prove to be a pivotal moment in the life and community of FCC. (If you were unable to attend FCC yesterday, check back to our church website later today, or tomorrow, and Wayne’s sermon will be available.) The Sun Came Out This Morning

If you live in Middle Tennessee, I hope you noticed how bright and beautiful the sun was this morning—Wednesday, November 05, 2008.

Yesterday Americans did what Americans do. We went to the polls in record numbers and shifted the balance of power from one party to another. We have a way of doing that every 4 to 8 years. Very rarely does one political party hold the presidency more than 8 years. Really, by shifting the balance of power regularly, we actually keep the balance of power balanced. …[read more]
