Last night (May 18th) was a wonderful night for our church and a personal highlight for me. It started with a great day at church, and then continued at Mark and Jody’s house where we celebrated baptisms and then had a great time of fellowship. Ten people were baptized! There were a couple of first for me. I had the honor of baptizing an entire family, and I also had the unique opportunity of baptizing a young man who my daughter has been dating. What a privilege! This past Monday (May 5th) while riding my bicycle I had a wreck. I was turning into a parking lot, hit something the wrong way, and before I knew it I was sliding across the pavement. I scraped my knees up really bad and vividly remember hearing my helmet slide across the pavement. (I always wear a helmet.) I picked myself up, brushed off the dirt around my knees, looked at the scrapes on my helmet, and straightened out my handlebars. (I also looked around to make sure no one saw me.)

Thinking I was ok, I started pushing my bike off into the grass to fix the chain when I noticed something strange on the back of my left hand. My pinky finger was laying at a 90 degree angle across the back of my ring finger and middle finger! No lie! I have a picture to prove it but it’s to gross to put on a church website.
