“Point In Time” Count

This morning (Thursday, Jan. 17th) I joined 11 other brave souls at 4:00 a.m. to participate in a “Point In Time” count. What is a “Point In Time” count? It is a count, endorsed by HUD, where a community tries to obtain the number of homeless people in their community. So, this morning we got in groups of 2 and drove around Franklin to see if we could find anyone sleeping in cars, on park benches, in dugouts at baseball fields, etc… I was partnered with Teresa Burns, who founded and runs GAP (God Answers Prayers), an organization that helps people with financial problems.
