Have We Missed the Point?

Over the last several years God has been dealing with me about getting involved in social issues. I have had the opportunity to do so on a limited basis, but I have wanted to do more. God has used a particular set of authors to convince me that a big part of praying “thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven” means standing up for justice and equality, looking out for the weak in our community. I have really being praying about this. A lot of my thoughts are reflected in a sermon I preached called “Was Jesus a Republican or Democrat.” If you like, you can read that sermon at www.franklincommunitychurch.org.
