Evel Knieval died yesterday (11-30-07). I don’t know why, but hearing of his death impacted me. I think it’s because as I look in the rearview mirror of my life, my childhood is appearing farther and farther away. Don’t get me wrong, I love my life and I am very content with where I am, but the death of Evel Knieval is another reminder of my own immortality.
Like most every boy my age, one Christmas I got an Evel Knieval action figure and motorcycle.
